The Fleshy Capsid is a Hardmode boss summon item used to summon the Esophage outside of The Pestilence. It is usable anywhere, but if you try to use it while another Esophage has already been summoned, nothing will happen. It will drop from the final enemy defeated during the Pestilence before Esophage spawns naturally, allowing it to be easily refought without going through the entire event each time.
