Weapons (Catalyst)
Weapons are essential items used for combat against enemies, bosses, and even other players during PvP games. Most weapons are crafted at any crafting Station, while others can only be found in Chests, as enemy/boss drops, or purchased from NPCs. The Catalyst Mod adds a new set of weapons crafted from Metanova Bars which are crafted from the Metanova Ore which generates after defeating Astrageldon.
Melee weapons
Swords
Swords are melee weapons which can be divided into 2 basic categories: Shortswords, and Broadswords. Shortswords have a very limited range and attack with a horizontal stabbing motion instead of an arc. Broadswords are swung overhead, which makes it easier to defeat flying and jumping enemies than shortswords.
Ranged weapons
Flamethrowers
Flamethrowers are ranged weapons which use Gel as ammo.
Magic weapons
Spell Tomes
Tomes are magic weapons that are mainly used to deal damage via a projectile attack.
Summon weapons
Minion weapons
Minion weapons are summon weapons that when used summon a minion to attack enemies.
Whips
Whips are summon weapons that fling out a medium ranged projectile attached to the player which grants buffs to minions.
Rogue weapons
Bombs
Bombs are rogue weapons that create an explosion after a short amount of time.
