The Scythe of the Abandoned God is a Flawless hardmode weapon dropped by Astrageldon. When used, the scythe is held at the player's position and spins, occasionally creating homing balls of goo. After spinning for a bit, the scythe is thrusted forward, creating three streams of otherworldly lightning that create a storm of explosions. When used by right clicking, the weapon will behave the same, but the player will be flung towards the position of their cursor once the scythe is thrusted.

The Scythe of the Abandoned God cannot be reforged, and therefore cannot have modifiers.

Notes

• The item is balanced to be used against The Devourer of Gods and The Old Duke.
• All of the projectiles created by the spear will do 50% less damage if any minion is out.
• Several bosses have resistance to the scythe and its homing balls of goo.
  • XF-09 Ares, its cannons, XS-01 Artemis, and XS-03 Apollo take 80% damage.
  • Yharon, Dragon of Rebirth takes 75% damage.
  • XM-05 Thanatos takes 70% damage.
  • Storm Weaver's body segments take 40% damage.
• The weapon can not be enchanted by the Brimstone Witch.

Trivia

• The weapon is a reference to the scrapped Calamity boss, Goozma, and is themed after its last official sprite which was temporarily going to be used for the boss' replacement, Noxus.
