Prototype Grenades are a special ammo used for the 
Prototype Launcher, the 
Frost Launcher, and 
The Seeker. They can be found along side the Prototype launcher in locked golden chests in a stack of around 52-80, or purchased from the Demolitionist for 30 each if the player has any of the launchers in their inventory.
Trivia
- The Cryo Launcher and The Seeker used to use their own ammo called Cryo Grenades and Seeker Bolts respectively, but they were removed and Prototype Grenades took their place for it.
