This is a Town NPC. A House may be required in order for it to appear.

The Croupier is an NPC vendor centered around the Gambler class. He will spawn once the following conditions are met:

• There is an empty house.
• The player has at least a single Playing Card in their deck.

When attacked, he will defend himself with Gambling Chip.

As well as selling the player a variety of items, the Croupier can help the player managing their Gambler deck by selecting the Deck Building option while talking to the NPC.

Deck Building

Deck Building UI with 4 Playing Cards: Bouncy Beginnings, Forest, Embers and Enchantment. Note that Enchantment is the only one able to be removed.

Deck Building is a Gambler class feature accessible by talking to the Croupier and selecting the Deck Building option. The feature allows the player to manage their current deck, removing cards to necessity. Most cards have a set amount of cards existing in the deck in order to be able to be added. In the Deck Building UI, cards with lower deck requirements than the highest one will be locked out, unable to be removed from the deck.

Normally, when talking to the Croupier, one of the following quotes appears:

• "Cards turnin' your way?"
• "I like them odds, chief. Always like them odds."
• "Got you covered on cards, chief. We got poker, solitaire... more poker..."
• "Ey, chief, best bud! Since we're such great pals, could ya help with a little debt?"
• "I'm your rear hand man."
• "Fate's face down. How do you wanna be dealt?"
• "Pick a number between 1 and 86!"

When selecting the Deck Building option:

• "Not too fond of your odds, eh? Aight, go on."
• "You lost it already? Here chief, take your new deck."

Tips

• Due to most of the Playing Cards sold requiring the NPC to be standing on a specific biome or layer, making multiple houses in different biomes can help getting these cards easier.
