Treasure Bags are consumable grab bags obtained as a reward for defeating bosses. Its contents depend on the boss it comes from and the highest difficulty the player beat the boss in. It is opened by either right-clicking it inside the inventory or using it while it is in your hand. In multiplayer, each player that is online at the end of the battle receives one Treasure Bag each. Treasure bags are client-side and will despawn if you exit the world.

Each Treasure Bag contains the boss's drops, which increase in Expert and further in Master, as well as an Expert-exclusive item while the world is in Expert Mode and the Master-exclusive pets and mounts while the world is in Master Mode. However, Treasure Bags give less loot if defeated below a difficulty modifier of 1x (only applicable in Journey Mode), and can't be opened at all if the boss hasn't been defeated.
