Crab Crevice (Aequus)

The Crab Crevice is a biome added by Aequus. It consists of a series of large, roughly circular caves that generate underneath the Ocean on one side of the world. The caves are flooded to varying degrees, with algae floating on the water's surface, and numerous crab-themed enemies spawn within. Coral Chests also generate in the Crab Crevice, containing loot similar to that of Water Chests with the addition of a few unique new items.

An artificial Crab Crevice biome can be formed by placing at least 151 blocks of Sedimentary Rock in close proximity.

While in the Crab Crevice, its exclusive music Bubbles Beneath Sand will play.

Trivia

• If the Thorium Mod or Calamity Mod are enabled alongside Aequus, the Crab Crevice will generate on the opposite side of the world from the Aquatic Depths and Sulphurous Sea/Abyss, respectively.
  • If all three are enabled simultaneously, the Crab Crevice will instead generate underneath the Aquatic Depths.
