Hero Sword is a craftable Hardmode melee weapon. It has a unique swing animation which allows it to swing in all directions, unlike typical broadswords. When the sword strikes an enemy it creates a Hero Blade (Shards of Atheria).png Hero Blade that flies in the direction the sword is pointing.
