The embodiment of fire given form. This Esper uses great energy to fry foes in an inferno.

BestiaryBestiary (Ifrit)

The embodiment of ice. Shiva attacks by crystallizing the moisture in the air itself.

BestiaryBestiary (Shiva)

Ifrit and Shiva are a pre-hardmode boss duo. They are intended to be fought after Ramuh, but before Skeletron.[1]

Spawning

Ifrit and Shiva can be summoned by using Twin Magicite. It must be used on the Surface otherwise the bosses will not spawn.

Behavior

Ifrit

During the fight Ifrit will use an attack then teleport to a random location. Ifrit has the following attacks:

  • Fire: Ifrit will cast a fire projectile that moves across the ground similar to that of the Fire spell.
  • Fira: Ifrit will spawn a fire projectile where the player is standing similar to that of the Fira spell.
  • Fire Pillar: Ifrit will spawn multiple columns of fire below him that move upward.

When Ifrit is below 50% max hp (1,625 / 3,250 / 6,500) he also gains the following attack:

  • Firaga: Ifrit will spawn a fire projectile that falls from the sky towards the player similar to that of the Firaga spell.

If Shiva is defeated and Ifrit is still alive Ifrit gains the following attacks:

  • Fire Eruption: Ifrit will teleport below the player and spin upwards spraying fireballs everywhere.
  • Fiery Dash: Ifrit will dash across the screen leaving a damaging trail of fire on the ground.

Shiva

During the fight Shiva will attack while circling around the player. She is also surrounded in damaging icicles. Shiva has the following attacks:

  • Blizzard: Shiva will cast a ice projectile towards the player similar to that of the Blizzard spell.
  • Blizzara: Shiva will cast a ice projectile where the player is standing similar to that of the Blizzara spell.
  • Blizzaga: Shiva will cast a ice projectile where the player is standing similar to that of the Blizzaga spell.

If Ifrit is defeated and Shiva is still alive Shiva gains the following attacks:

  • Icicle Rain: Shiva casts repeated rows of icicles that fall from the sky
  • Icicle Spray: Shiva casts a barrage of icicles directly in front of her similar to that of the Shiva esper.
