Not to be confused with Ramuh, the Esper.

Ramuh is a pre-hardmode boss. It is intended to be fought after Queen Bee, but before Ifrit and Shiva.

Spawning

Ramuh can be summoned by using Ramuh's Staff. It must be used on the Surface otherwise the boss will not spawn.

Behavior

Ramuh will encase the player in a box of lightning, attempting to leave the arena will cause Ramuh to despawn. Ramuh is immune to damage, instead the player must survive its attacks for 2 minutes.

Ramuh will use the following sequence of attacks that repeats two times before the boss is defeated:

Horizontal Orbs

During this phase small lightning orbs will fall from the sky in a horizontal line. Ramuh will also shoot lightning orbs at the player.

Lighting Walls

Ramuh will spawn two more lightning wall that will come from the left and right side and divide the arena into 3 equal sections

Cast Thundaga

Ramuh will cast a large lightning attack directly below him.

Circular Orbs

Ramuh will spawn repeated sequences of three arched patterns of lightning orbs. These orbs move outward in a circular pattern.

Vertical Orbs

Ramuh will spawn 2 vertical lines of orbs that move inward towards the player.

Cast Thundaga 2

Ramuh will cast 2 large lightning attacks one towards and left and other towards the right.

Wavy Orbs

Ramuh will send bursts of lightning orbs in a curvy pattern radiating outward.

Orb Bursts

Ramuh will send bursts of lightning orbs in a circular pattern.

Notes

• Leaving the lightning arena will cause Ramuh to despawn.
• The first time Ramuh is summon he will taunt the player with the following status text: uses his tentacle grab attack the pop up messages:
  • "Ramuh: I am Ramuh... The esper Ramuh."
  • "Ramuh: You seek power to prevent a great catastrophe?"
  • "Ramuh: Then withstand my might and prove your worth!"
• The first time Ramuh is defeated he will surrender with the message: Ramuh: "Well done. I shall give you my power as well."

Tips

• Since Ramuh is immune to damage it is pointless to bring powerful weapons, instead the player should focus on dodging the attacks.

Aftermath

• The Shopkeep begins selling Ramuh's Staff.
