The Crate Bait is a pre-Hardmode bait item obtained from the Angler rarely through quests, and biome crates. When used as bait, Wooden Crates, Pearlwood Crates, Iron Crates, and Mythril Crates will be replaced with the corresponding biome crate. When catching any biome crate, the bait is 100% consumed no matter what.

This effect only works in vanilla biomes and the Crab Crevice.
