Superbosses (Catalyst)
Superbosses are a unique form of bosses that the Catalyst Mod adds to the game. They are exceedingly difficult, boasting overwhelmingly high stats, mainly immense health and ludicrous amounts of damage. Superbosses added by the Catalyst Mod also have limited availability, and will become unfightable after a certain point in progression, but this is compensated due to their incredibly powerful loot which can last several tiers more than other equipment. Not all of the planned Superbosses have been introduced yet, and will be coming in the future.
Current Superbosses
Astrageldon

 Astrageldon is a hardmode Superboss with a total of 250,000 health (367,500 in Expert Mode and 536,000 in Revengeance Mode). It is currently the only Superboss in the Catalyst Mod and the mod's most challenging opponent so far. The fight is composed of two different phases. The first phase consists of the boss is mostly ground based, with the boss relying on slamming into the ground, creating shockwaves for a fair amount of its attacks. Phase 2 grants the player infinite flight and surrounds them in an arena, with the boss cycling through various projectile-oriented attacks. The resulting items that become available after defeating Astrageldon can last until Polterghast has been defeated. |
