The Metanova Slime is a Hardmode enemy that spawns anywhere in the cavern after Astrageldon has been defeated, whose sole purpose is to act as a renewable source of Metanova Ore. The enemy is composed of two separate entities: the actual slime and its rock armor, both of which need to have their healths depleted to kill the enemy. While covered in rocks, lowering the Metanova Slime's health to certain amounts will cause it to spawn several Blighted Stones which are then flung at the player. The Metanova Slime will stop spawning rocks once its rock healthbar has been depleted.
