The Archaeologist is an NPC that found in certain structures made from the mod. They are called the Strange transmission before being interacted with each time they spawn, after which they are called the Archaeologist.

The Archaeologist does not have a map icon, like Town NPCs, and the only way to effectively track them down is using the Anomaly Locator.

Their sales vary based on where they are found.
