Frost Ruins (Secrets Of The Shadows)

The Frost Ruins are a small Structure generated upon world creation, being located on the surface of the Snow biome.

The ruins contain a Frost Artifact that stands on a platform made out of Hard Ice Bricks and Frigid Ore, the platform also contains four elevated platforms on the sides made out of Hard ice bricks, Frigid ore and covered with Snow Blocks on top. Buried underneath the Frost artifact is a Locked Permafrost Plating Capsule, that when opened with an Old Key has a Glaze Bow inside.

The main purposes of the Frost ruins are to have the Frost artifact to summon Polaris, give the player a large amount of Frigid ore, and to house the Locked Permafrost Plating capsule.

Tips

• Because of the huge amount of frigid ore, which requires only a silver pickaxe to mine, it is recommended to seek out the Frost ruins at the start of the game to get good loot.
  • Similarly the locked permafrost plating capsule, which can be unlocked with the old key from a Corruption Treasure Slime, holds very useful gear for the start of the game like the powerful Glaze bow, as well as life and mana crystals.
