Deerclops is an NPC vendor that will spawn once the following criteria have been met:

• There is an empty house.
• Deerclops has been defeated.

Deerclops will defend herself against nearby enemies by throwing a Shadow Hand.

Trivia

• The quote "Everyone else gets an achievement; where is mine?" is a reference to the fact that, before the 1.4.4 update, there was no achievement associated with defeating Deerclops, while every other boss had (and has) one.
• The quotes "Are you going to hold a feast of some kind in this winter weather?" and "Oh a party! There better be a big feast for all of us!" are references to the Winter's Feast event in Don't Starve, which changes the appearance of Deerclops as well as giving her a laser attack.
