The Force-A-Nature is a primary weapon for the Scout. It fires a spread of 12 pellets with random bullet spread, but consumes only one ammo. Although the weapon has a much smaller clip size than the Scattergun, it has a quicker firing speed, reloads its entire clip at once, and can knock back enemies and the Scout himself. The Force-A-Nature has non-integer base damage, which is noticeable with further progression.

Notes

  • Since the Force-A-Nature uses local immunity frames, all pellets can hit and damage a single enemy simultaneously. This results in a total base damage of 64.8.
  • Since 12 pellets are shot from this weapon, the chances of a health kit spawning is increased.

Strategies

  • In order to deal consistent damage with the Force-A-Nature, the Scout must be near his target. However, his low health makes it risky to stay at a close range. If he feels overwhelmed, he should flee and strike back when ready.
  • The Force-A-Nature is a great weapon to spawn in health kits with as it shoots 12 pellets at a time.
  • The Force-A-Nature can reload its entire clip at once, giving it more consistent damage over the Scattergun.
  • The Force-A-Nature's knockback is great against fast moving bosses.
    • However, against stationary bosses, such as Touhou girls, knocking them back could be a detriment.
    • If the Scout only needs knockback for certain situations, he can use the Shortstop instead.
  • The Scout can propel himself with this weapon similar to the Rocket Launcher. Fortunately, the Force-A-Nature does not damage him, unlike the Rocket Launcher.
  • If the Scout is too far away from his target, he is better of switching to his pistol if he has it in his loadout.

Trivia

  • The Force-A-Nature is one of the only weapons that has knockback in the Team Fortress 2 mod that is not explosive.
    • It is currently the only weapon that does this with every shot.
    • Unlike most Terraria weapons, it can knock back bosses.
