The Pharaoh's Curse is a Pre-Hardmode boss encountered in the Cursed Pyramid.
Spawn
Pharaoh's Curse does not spawn on its own and is summoned by right-clicking a Sarcophagus in the Cursed Pyramid.
Behaviour
Phase 1
Phase 1 lasts until Pharaoh's Curse health has gone to 0.
Attacks:
- Dash - Pharaoh's Curse goes either to the right or left of the player and makes a horizontal dash, leaving behind six projectiles that bounce off walls.
- 4 Hands - Pharaoh's Curse goes to the center of the boss room and launches 4 "hands" in a plus-like shape. The resulting "arms" then create protrusions alternatingly, as Pharaoh's Curse slowly approaches the player.
- Telegraphed Projectiles - Pharaoh's Curse launches 12 projectiles on curving paths, with their trajectories shown with a translucent purple line. These also bounce off walls.
Phase 2
Phase 2 starts about 5 seconds after Pharaoh's Curse has lost all of its health in Phase 1. The boss will pause, then heal and its mask will break, with phase 2 beginning as the area goes dark.
- Arm Rotation - Pharaoh's Curse launches 2 vertical "hands", which then proceed to rotate around it. About every 1/4 of a rotation of its "arms", it launches 3 knives at the player. About once a revolution it launches a barrage of knives in a semi-circle shape.
- Invisible Dash - Pharaoh's Curse goes invisible and dashes at the player from different directions and then goes invisible again. Once every other dash, it launches a barrage of knives in a semi-circle shape.
- Clone Slam - Pharaoh's Curse spawns 3 copies of itself. It and its copies circle around and smash into the floor one by one, creating telegraphed projectiles identical to those from Phase 1. The clones dissipate after using the slam attack.
Aftermath
Ghast, Maligmor and Teratoma will start to drop Cursed Matter.
Trivia

- All of this boss' projectile attacks, as well as its "arms", are listed as "Curse" in death messages.
- During its death animation, Pharaoh's Curse's health bar displays 666.
