Incinerating is a debuff applied by several items and enemies found or crafted from materials in the Lava Ocean. When applied to a player or enemy, it deals rapid damage that increases with its duration. Because of this, longer durations of the debuff deal significantly more damage; This is an incredibly dangerous debuff and utmost care should be taken to avoid being inflicted with it.

When a player dies from incineration, their death message will read "<name of player> went poof."
