The The Alchemist's Cookbook is an item sold by Chemist for 10. It an essential item for an Alchemist: it allows quicker inventory navigation and mixing.

After clicking (Right or Left click) with the item an UI will be open: it displays up to 18 chemical weapons from your Potion Bag (first) and from your inventory (after).

You can now Right click on the weapons you want to mix and then Left click to shoot the mixture.

There's an alternative to this item: Brewing for Dummies uses the hotbar keys instead.
