Trivia

• The Spider Ball first appeared in Metroid II: Return of Samus, where it worked practically the same.
• The Prime series also has its own interpretation of the Spider Ball, but given that the Prime series are 3D games, unlike Metroid II, the Spider Ball can only be used on specific magnetic rails instead of being able to climb in any surface.
