“I think I might've seen that girl with the detachable head in the Human Village once... nah, can't be.
Sekibanki is a Tier 2 Pre-Hardmode boss.
Spawn
Sekibanki does not spawn naturally. Instead, she can be summoned by using a Abnormally Long Spine during the night. However, she will not despawn if the fight lasts past dawn (4:30 am).
Behavior
Sekibanki alternates between a movement phase and an attack phase.
In her attack phase, Sekibanki attacks using one of three spellcards, depending on her remaining health:
- Flying Head "Dullahan Night": Sekibanki shoots beams of energy around herself. After taking some damage, her head detaches and proceeds to attack the targeted player by shooting lasers from its eyes. The head is invulnerable during this stage.
- Glinting Eyes "Hell's Ray": At the start of the attack phase, Sekibanki creates one or multiple new heads, which will hover close to her body. The heads then shoot lasers in a sweeping pattern. They can be destroyed and will occasionally drop Hearts or Stars.
- Flying Head "Head-on Attack": At the start of the attack phase, Sekibanki creates a head, which will either attack the player from range or chase the player. Meanwhile, her body shoots small, slow-moving red bullets in all directions. As in Stage 2, the heads can be destroyed and will occasionally drop Hearts or Stars.
