The Purified Rod is a crafted post-Moon Lord summon weapon. When used, it summons a pair of Spirit of Duality minions. One of the spirits is a melee variant, acting as a buffed Corrupted Spirit, and the other is a ranged variant, acting as a buffed Purified Spirit.

The melee Spirit of Duality rapidly dashes towards enemies or its idle position above the player if no enemies are nearby. At the end of each dash, the spirit will slowly slide to give it slightly more distance.

The ranged Spirit of Duality alternates between shooting a spread of 5 purity blasts that inflict the Purifying debuff and a spread of 3 slower corrupted blasts that home in on enemies and inflict the Corrupting debuff. Both projectile types accelerate, however the purity blasts accelerate significantly faster than the corrupted blasts.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Rod of Duality has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
