Town Slimes

Town Slimes are a type of town pet. They can be talked to with the ⚷ Open / Activate button, offering a "pet" dialogue option which plays a short animation of the player petting the slime. If they die it will send a message the same as the other town pets, along with the Princess and the Angler saying: "(town slime name) has left!" and will respawn in the morning.

Notes

• Although you can get the Tarr before you enter hardmode, it is recommended that you wait until you're further into hardmode so that you can get the Slime God to kill the Town Slime of choice before it kills you.
• To the contrary, you can get the Astro Slime at any point in hardmode, as you are not required to kill Astrum Aureus with the Abandoned Slime Staff, only damage it; so it doesn't matter if you win or lose.

Trivia

• Tarr is inspired by The Tarr from another game Slime Rancher.
• Tarr is also inspired by the boss Goozma from another mod Hunt of the Old God. If you have both Calamity's Vanities and Hunt of the Old God installed the Tarr will drop from Goozma upon defeat.
• Names like "Susy" and "Sugma" are references to popular memes and are an indication that the developers had fun making them.
• All the slimes names start with the letter S
• Attacking Astrum Aureus with the Abandoned Slime Staff is a reference to the Astrageldon Slime, a pre-rework version of what Astrum Aureus is today. The minion that the staff spawns is a scaled down version of the Astrageldon Slime.
• The Ninja Slime may be a reference to the ninja that is suspended inside of the King Slime.
