The Heart of the Sea is a powerful pre-Hardmode yoyo crafted with a Jellyfish Necklace, Coral, Starfish, and Crab Claws. When initially thrown, it has three small coral shards orbiting. The shards deal 30% damage and can hit three times each before shattering.

It has a reach of 13 tiles and a spin time of 8.5 seconds as well as a size multiplier of 1.1. Its string is violet.

Tips

• This weapon can easily carry the player through the entirety of pre-Hardmode if obtained early. There are a few ways to achieve this:
  • Obtaining a Jellyfish Statue and wiring it up to a trap underground can be a sure-fire method of obtaining a Jellyfish Necklace.
  • Setting up a trap in the Ocean for jellyfish to kill them while keeping safe from sharks. However, you will eventually need to kill sharks for the fins.
  • Just getting a lucky drop with the Jellyfish Necklace.
• This item is integral in crafting the Riptide, a very strong Hardmode yoyo that outclasses even some Mechanical-tier yoyos.
