Crimson Bullets are pre-Hardmode bullets crafted with Musket Balls, Crimtane, and Tissue Samples. They have a chance to inflict Varicose as well as an additional chance to steal small amounts of life. They are the Crimson counterpart to Demon Bullets.

Notes

• The life steal has a 50% chance to trigger on most things, with some exceptions:
  • Critters, enemies with no health pool, friendly NPCs, and Target Dummies do not trigger the effect.
• The life steal is equal to 1 HP per 20 damage points dealt, or 5% return ratio.
  • The amount of HP healed at one time caps at 3, so dealing more than 30 damage per bullet is technically wasted damage. This makes them more effective for lower-damage, higher-speed weapons like the Minishark.
