Poke Balls (Terramon)

Poke Balls are items used to catch and store Pokemon.
Upon encountering a Pokemon, Trainers can throw a Poke Ball to capture it. It will then rock side to side up to three times, and if the contained Pokemon doesn't break free it will successfully be caught and added to your sidebar.
When a Poke Ball contains a Pokemon, it can be used to summon the Pokemon to follow after you.
If a Poke Ball misses its target, it will bounce up to 5 times before breaking. This will cause it to be destroyed and will be unable to be picked back up.

There are a variety of Poke Balls available, each with a unique catch power:

Physics

Throwing a Pokeball requires a lot more than just aiming. Poke Balls will also take into account the player's own velocity when being thrown.
For example, if the player is jumping the Poke Ball will go higher than it would if the player was just standing.

It will also be affected by any storms currently happening, so catching ground-type Pokemon might be easier when there isn't a sandstorm happening in the Desert.
