Poke Balls are the most basic form of a Poke Ball, hence the name.

They have a catch power of 1x, which is the lowest catch power of all the Poke Balls. They can easily catch weaker wild Pokemon such as Caterpie and Pidgey

but will fail often on stronger Pokemon.

They can be purchased from the PokeMart Clerk for 9.

Tips

• Later in your journey, you might consider regular Poke Balls useless. This isn't the case, as regardless of the catch power it is still possible to catch any Pokemon inside of a regular Poke Ball. Because of their low price, this makes them a viable alternative to better Poke Balls.
