The Firefly Staff is a pre-hardmode summon weapon. It summons two firefly minions that follow the player and attack enemies by dashing into them. The fireflies will light up when they are close to enemies and will occasionally flicker otherwise.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Firefly Staff has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
