Sniper's Starter Primary

The Sniper Rifle is a primary weapon for the Sniper. It has the ability to scope, slowing the Sniper down and filling up the weapon's charge meter. Damage is increased based on charge percentage and charge is lost upon firing or unscoping. When maximum charge is reached, a critical hit is guaranteed. This weapon is a stock weapon and can be obtained immediately if the Sniper class is chosen.

Notes

  • Since the Sniper Rifle uses local immunity frames, it means that it does not lose any damage output due to invincibility frames.
  • A fully charged Sniper Rifle does 450 base damage.
  • The Sniper Rifle cannot scope during its animation time. It also unscopes when shooting.
    • This means that the maximum charge time is effectively 3.5 seconds after the first shot.
  • Scoping can be used as a substitute for the Binoculars.
  • The Sniper Rifle cannot randomly crit.

Strategies

  • The Sniper Rifle is one of the best weapons for long-ranged damage.
    • Since this weapon supports focus shot, the Sniper can fire bullets and stop worrying about missing his target. It is also recommended to only use focus shot due to the weapon's slow rate of fire.
    • The Sniper may want to switch to his medium-ranged weapon, like the SMG if his target is too close.
  • Relying on unscoped shots is unrecommended, unless the Sniper is too close to his target and has no safer way to attack.
  • Scoping leaves the Sniper vulnerable to incoming attacks. Therefore, it's important for him to keep a safe distance away from his enemies.
  • Sniper can scope in order to see further away.

Trivia

  • The Sniper Rifle originally had automatic charge.
    • However, this was changed due to overcoming technical limitations.
