• The Degreaser uses global immunity frames, meaning that enemies cannot take damage for a few frames after getting hit.
• Flames extinguishes themselves when in contact with water.
• The Degreaser has a hidden downside of -46% afterburn duration.

Strategies

• The Degreaser and the rest of the flamethrowers are the best weapons for close-ranged combat.
  • This weapon's longer range allows for slight mid-ranged combat.
  • If the Pyro's target is too far from the Degreaser's flames, the Pyro must switch to a far-ranged weapon, like the Flare Gun.
• Airblasts can help Pyro avoid potential fatal damage as they can reflect projectiles and knockback enemies.
  • Additionally, extinguishing allies rewards the Pyro with some health restore.
  • Be aware that airblasts from this weapon are slightly more expensive than the Flame Thrower.
• The Degreaser works miraculously against bosses consisting of multiple segments or summoned minions.
• The Degreaser's afterburn damage output should not be relied upon as it's the worst out of all the flamethrowers.
