The Skull Smasher is a Hardmode Melee Weapon that can be dropped by Big Bone. Left click will throw the hammer that ignores tiles, returning to the player after a certain distance or upon hitting an enemy. Holding right click will swing the hammer around the player, charging it up while damaging enemies that gets in the hammer's range. Once fully charged (Indicated by the ding sound), releasing RC will throw the hammer like a boomerang, going through walls, and damaging enemies in its way.
Its best modifier is Legendary.
