The Wooden Pavise is a craftable Pre-Hardmode pavise.
Like all pavises, it appears a distance from the player, facing the direction of the cursor. Right-clicking will consume 1 guard charge to materialize the pavise for a short duration, during which it will block and push enemies, as well as destroying enemy projectiles. The pavise cannot be moved while active. Right-clicking while the pavise is active will cancel the block.
Successfully blocking at least one enemy will grant the player 1 slam charge; left-clicking will consume 1 slam charge to thrust the pavise in the cursor's direction, dealing damage to enemies.
The Wooden Pavise has a base slam distance of 1.875 tiles, and block duration of 1 second.
Its best modifier is Empyrean.
