The Ice Flake is a Hardmode shamanic weapon that has a chance to be dropped by Ice Queens. On use, it fires ice blade projectiles that behave like a boomerang, automatically returning to the player after traveling a distance. The ice blades have a 1/5 chance to inflict the Frostburn debuff on hit. By default, between 1 to 2 ice blades are fired per weapon use, but the upper limit increases by 1 with every active shamanic empowerment, up to a maximum of firing between 1 to 7 ice blades per weapon use.

Hitting enemies provides the Level IV Defense Empowerment to the player.
