Weapons (Magnumiactus)
Weapons are items that are meant to deal damage to enemies, whether through direct contact or a projectile. Magnumiactus introduces quite a few weapons, with a focus on the throwing class and a new (or at least greatly expanded) weapon type for the melee class.
Melee Weapons
Melee weapons usually don't have too much range in comparison to weapons from other classes, but they can still be useful for close combat.
Swords
Swords are melee weapons that swing around or in front of the user. Some swords may also release a projectile.
Spears
Spears are melee weapons that thrust outwards and then recede inward. They are typically long and slender with a "head" of sorts at one end. This head typically indicates where the hitbox of the spear projectile is and how large the hitbox is.
- The Toothpick
- Stinger Spear
- Aquarian Leister
- Procellarite Trident
Yoyos
Yoyos are flail-like melee weapons that can move with their user's cursor. They can hit enemies multiple times in succession, making them valuable tools in combat.
- Superfast
- Sky-Sea Spinner
Lances
Lances are spear-like melee weapons that poke out when used. They can be good for close combat, as their knockback can keep some enemies at bay. However, for more ranged combat, they aren't that great compared to projectile-firing swords or yoyos. This is where a subtype of Lances comes in; weapons of this Gunlance subtype use the Guard hotkey to reload ammo that can then be fired as a projectile. This projectile may have a larger range than the (gun)lance itself at times. Gunlances are marked with a (GL) in the list below.
- Longhorn
- Iron Lance
- Feathersting
- Demonite Lance
- Bloody Syringe
- Estoc

Ranged Weapons
Ranged weapons have a large range, but they use ammunition that takes time to restock. However, switching up ammunition can help quite a bit with some battles.
Bows
Bows are ranged weapons that consume and/or fire arrows. Arrows may be susceptible to gravity depending on the type of arrow used, so it is important to account for their trajectory when using a bow. Bows can be made more powerful through items like the Archery Potion.
- Spore Sling
- Hermitaur Hunting Bow
- Voltsender
- Seastring
- Pain Rain
- Eltanine Wave
Repeaters
Repeaters are a subtype of bow that resemble crossbows and have the property of Autoswing or auto-fire, which allows continued use while holding the Use Item button.
Guns
Guns are ranged weapons which consume bullets. These bullets may come out in a variety of ways, including in a spread of multiple projectiles or in rapid-fire singular shots.
- Copper Pistol
- Tin Pistol
- Silver Pistol
- Tungsten Pistol
- Gold Pistol
- Platinum Pistol
Launchers
Launchers are ranged weapons which consume rockets. They are not particularly rapid-firing weapons, but they make up for it with high potential damage, a lot of which comes from the ammunition used. Where other ranged weapons tend to have one projectile per ammunition item, launchers break this trend with unique projectiles for combinations of rocket and launcher.
Magic Weapons
Magic weapons usually fire an unusual (but typically long-ranged) projectile using mana, which slowly regenerates over time while not being used.
Staves
Staves, staffs, or wands are rather elongated compared to other magic weapons and are usually held diagonally.
- Spore Staff
- Gliding Blaze
- Procellarite Staff
- Barrier Builder
Spell Tomes
Spell tomes take the form of books and may be crafted at a Bookcase.
Magic Guns
Magic guns resemble guns in appearance, but require mana for usage instead of bullets or other ammunition. This means that magic guns and their projectiles can sometimes stray from the typical behavior of guns and bullets.
Summoning Weapons
Summoning weapons conjure a long-lasting projectile that attacks the enemy for you.
Minions
Minions follow the player around and can either deal contact damage to an enemy or shoot a projectile at it.
Whips
Whips do not summon a minion or a sentry, but instead act as a close-range weapon. Upon hitting an enemy, the enemy will become the target of summoned minions and benefits may be provided.
Throwing Weapons
Throwing weapons usually throw out a ranged projectile of the weapon. In this mod, there are now non-consumable weapons, and they cost mana to use. There are also consumable weapons, though.
Javelins
Javelins are some of the longest throwing weapons, and they usually follow a straight-ish path before arcing downwards. Some javelins may stick to enemies, similar to the vanilla Bone Javelin.
- Meteor Spear
- Streaodous
- Shadow Javelin
- Frost Javelin
- Bloody Pike
- Festive Javelin
- Poseiron's Trident
- Satellite Spear
Throwing Knives
Throwing knives are rather small throwing weapons that fly in an arc, similar in behavior to the vanilla Throwing Knife. However, this category is not limited to knives, and includes both weapons that resemble throwing knives in terms of behavior and weapons that resemble throwing knives in terms of appearance.
- Copper Knife
- Tin Knife
- Iron Knife
- Lead Knife
- Silver Knife
- Tungsten Knife
- Gold Knife

- Snowflake Shuriken
- Cosmos Crasher
- Lumi Knife

Explosives
Explosives are throwing weapons that burst into other damaging projectiles, such as shrapnel or just an explosion hitbox. Examples of explosives include bombs and grenades. While they do not "explode" like other explosives do, flasks still burst into other projectiles and do not fall under any other category here, and as such, they are considered explosives for the purposes of this chart.

- Brimstone Bomb
- Fireball Brew
- Accursed Flask
- Ichored Flask
- Forbidden Smoke Bomb
- Chlorophyte Bomb
- Nano Missile
- Festive Eggnog
- Unholy Hand Grenade

Boomerangs
Boomerangs are throwing weapons that return to the player. While most boomerangs in vanilla Terraria are considered melee weapons, boomerangs added by Magnumiactus are considered throwing weapons, mostly to put the throwing class around the same level as other weapon classes. They are never consumable.
