The Tokarev is a Hardmode Handgun.

It is currently crafted using a Frost Core, Silver Bars, a Fallen Star, a Rare Class Core purchasable by the Officer and a Tundra Culture.

The Tokarev will summon a falling star, similar to the Starfury, upon every third shot fired. These falling stars inflict the Frostburn debuff on hit.

Its best modifier is Unreal.

Trivia

• The small stylized star in the weapon's sprite and the gun's secondary ability to summon stars from the top of the screen references the Red Army Star embossed on the weapon in real life. Due to this, star imagery is often attributed to the Tokarev itself.
• The tooltip "Only shooting stars break the wall" is a modification of an excerpt of lyrics from American rock band Smash Mouth's All Star. The word "mold" in the original lyrics is replaced with the word "wall" as a reference to the Berlin Wall, due to the Tokarev pistol's origin as a Soviet Union era weapon and its numerous star motifs.
