The Succubus Trident is a Hardmode wand. It is sold by the Clothier for 11 during the night as long as the player has a Type 97 in their inventory. It fires fast-moving scarlet tridents, but has a high mana cost. Upon hitting an enemy, the projectiles grant the player the Xue Drain buff, adding 2.5 life per second to existing health regen. The projectiles pierce up to 2 enemies and dissipates upon impacting a third.

Each hit made with the projectiles upon such enemies produce a burst of red particles that move towards the direction of the player before vanishing. It can be considered an upgrade of the Unholy Trident and a direct-targetting variant of the Life Drain.

Its best modifier is Mythical.

Trivia

• This weapon is a reference to the Gretel the Witch costume able to be worn by Type 97. The weapon is derived from the similarly-looking trident that appears in her artwork and her chibi sprite victory animation.
• The flavor text in the Succubus Trident's tooltip "'My mind tells me no, but my body tells me yes'" references the song "Bump n' Grind" by American R&B singer R. Kelly, derived from the first line of its lyrics.
