AR-15 is a Hardmode Assault Rifle. It is currently acquired by purchasing it from Helian with 1 Anti-Rain Core after defeating the three Mechanical Bosses. It is able to zoom out without any additional accessories like the Sniper Rifle. If the user is under one-third of their maximum life, all bullets will be overwritten with Exploding Bullets. This creates a high risk, high reward situation especially when using the gun while under pressure from crowds of enemies during events.

Its best modifier is Unreal.

Notes

• As a member of Anti-Rain, AR-15 is only purchasable via Helian. Since the Anti-Rain Core can usually be only used once per world, care should be taken if one were to actually use up the core without grinding enough resources to duplicate it via Demon/Crimson Altars.
• AR-15 fires four shots, each one with a delay of 4 ticks, for a total of 16 ticks. The delay between one burst and the next is 16 ticks. One complete use of this weapon (including delay) take 32 (slow use time) ticks.

Trivia

• The gun's effect that triggers when the player is close to dying that replaces all of the user's bullets with Exploding Bullets references AR-15's attempt to take her own life in Chapter 6E via an explosion that was meant to kill both her and the Sangvis victims.
