The Slime God is a post-Moon Lord Boss fought in Space.

Spawning

Slime God is summoned by using a Sunlight Crown in Space.

Behavior

Slime God, similarly to Queen Slime, attempts to jump on top of the player while occasionally using different attacks. When damaged, it summons a variety of slime minions to assist in battle. If in Expert Mode or higher, upon reaching 50% health, Slime God will grow wings and start flying over the player.

While Slime God is alive, the time is locked onto midnight.

The player is inflicted with Icarus while fighting Slime God, preventing flight.

Attacks

Phase 1

Slime God attempts to jump on the player three times, before doing one of the following attacks:

  • Slime God charges up, then fires a Solar Energy Beam (Homeward Journey).png Solar Energy Beam at the player's position.
  • Slime God will fire either a horizontal or vertical line of Solar Energy (4) (Homeward Journey).png Solar Energies that spread out over a large radius. Each star eventually bursts into two stars that move left and right in relation to the original star's direction.

Phase 1 (Expert Mode)

Slime God's jumps are about the same; however, on its third jump or the jump before it attacks, it will jump over the player instead of directly on the player. Slime God's attacks after its jumps also receive massive changes.

  • Slime God floats over the player and fires two rounds of Spear of Lugh (Homeward Journey).png Spears of Lugh that curve outwards, before eventually curving back in.
  • Slime God fires a Solar Energy (2) (Homeward Journey).png Solar Energy that homes in on the player. Upon contact, it summons a Apollo Chariot (Homeward Journey).gif Apollo Chariot that accelerates forwards and leaves Source of Fire (Homeward Journey).gif Sources of Fire that fall downwards.
  • Slime God fires a Solar Energy Beam (Homeward Journey).png Solar Energy Beam at the player's location that moves towards the player's position with a slight delay.

  • Slime God will be absent, summoning the Mercury Slime, Venus Slime, Terra Slime, and Mars Slime to attack the player.

    • The Mercury Slime dashes up and down at an angle.
    • The Venus Slime will summon 6 Venus Dance (Homeward Journey).png Venus Dances in all directions that rotate around the Venus Slime until it summons more Venus Dances that rotate in the opposite direction.
    • The Terra Slime will fire 2 Nuke (Homeward Journey).png Nukes at the player, as well as firing the Moon Slime (Homeward Journey).png Moon Slime that orbits around it.
    • The Mars Slime will fire Conflict (Homeward Journey).gif Conflicts that curve around.

    After all 4 are killed, the Slime God will summon in Jupiter Slime, Saturn Slime, Uranus Slime, and Neptune Slime.

    • The Jupiter Slime fires and increasing amount of Jupiter Storm (Homeward Journey).png Jupier Storm lasers at the player.
    • The Saturn Slime dashes twice at both sides, with rows of Ring Slime (Homeward Journey).png Ring Slimes above and below the slime, with gaps in-between them.
    • The Uranus Slime jumps around, summoning Snowflake Slimes, Icicle Slimes, and Nitro Slimes.
    • The Neptune Slime summons 5 (6 in For the Worthy) Black Spot (Homeward Journey).png Black Spots that large Spikes come out of.

    Additionally, if the player is in For the Worthy with their time set to before August 24, 2006, Pluto Slime will spawn.

    Phase 2 (Expert Mode-exclusive)

    Slime God begins to gain wings and flies over the player, while constantly performing these attacks:

    • Slime God fires an outward spread of 24 Yata Mirror (Homeward Journey).png Yata Mirrors that fire out lasers.
    • Slime God summons a Solar Energy (3) (Homeward Journey).png Solar Energy that homes in on the player. Upon contact, the star summons an Aurora that blocks of the area the playeer was hit horizontally.
    • Slime God fires a tracking Solar Energy Beam (Homeward Journey).png Solar Energy Beam at the player's position with a slight delay, similarly to its first phase. If a Solar Energy Slime is present, there is a chance that the slime may also fire a laser.

    Phase 2 (Master Mode)

    Slime God jumps down, firing out 8/12 (For the Worthy)/24 (Zenith Seed) Hot Melt (Homeward Journey).png Hot Melt, and then will perform the following attacks:

    • Slime God jumps 3 times, firing out 5/8 (For the Worthy)/12 (Zenith Seed) Hot Melt (Homeward Journey).png Hot Melt.
    • Slime God will fire several Black Spot (Homeward Journey).gif Black Spots at the player.
    • Slime God fires 3 Apollo Chariot (Homeward Journey).gif Apollo Chariots that accelerates forward and leave Seed of Fire (Homeward Journey).png Seeds of Fire that fire up and down.
    • Slime God fires 2 rounds of 3 Prominence Slime (Homeward Journey).gif Prominence Slimes that home in on the player.
    • Slime God fires a Solar Spark (Homeward Journey).png Solar Spark that circles around and follows the player.

    Phase 3 (Master Mode)

    Phase 3 starts at 70% health. Slime God will grow wings and start flying, preforming the following attacks:

    • Slime God slams on the ground 3 times, firing out 5/8 (For the Worthy)/12 (Zenith Seed) Hot Melt (Homeward Journey).png Hot Melt.
    • Slime God fires 8 Market Garden Slime (Homeward Journey).gif Market Garden Slimes on each side 4 times, which float down and curve in on eachother.
    • Slime God drops down 3 times and fires 2 Aurora Slime (Homeward Journey).gif Aurora Slimes that curve in and another 2 Aurora Slime (Homeward Journey).gif Aurora Slimes that go straight when landing.
    • Slime God fires out 4 Satellite Slime (Homeward Journey).png Satellite Slimes in 6 directions at orbit around shortly before coming back in.
    • Slime God fires an Eclipse Spark (Homeward Journey).png Eclipse Spark that circles around and follows the player.

    Phase 4 (Master Mode)

    Phase 4 starts at 50% health. Slime God will turn into a sun and preform the following attacks:

    • Slime God will slowly absorb a large group of Homesick Slimes.
    • Slime God will slowly absorb several lines of Homesick Slimes.
    • Slime God will slowly absorb a group of Gastropod2.gif Homesick Slimes that fire Pink Laser.png Pick Lasers.
    • Slime God will slowly absorb a ring of Slimer.gif Homesick Slimes that circle in.
    • Slime God will slowly absorb a ring of Homesick Slime (Homeward Journey).gif Homesick Slimes that fire Homesick Slime (Homeward Journey).png Spikes at the player.

    Phase 5 (Master Mode)

    Slime God will turn into White Slime (Oozyssey in For the Worthy) that inflicts Slime Ocean if in the waters below, and preforms the following attacks:

    • White Slime will fire out a barrage of Slime Downpour (Homeward Journey).png Slime Dounpours upwards that then fall down all over the screen.
    • White Slime will fire a Slime Storm (2) (Homeward Journey).png Slime Storm 4 times that causes 3 pillars of Slime Storm (Homeward Journey).png Slime Storms to rise from the ocean below.
    • White Slime will fire a grid of Slime Wind (Homeward Journey).png that goes in a diagonal direction upwards.
    • White Slime will fire 2 rows of Slime Call (Homeward Journey).png Slime Calls, then a barrage, and finally 2 smaller rows of Slime Call (Homeward Journey).png Slime Calls.
    • White Slime fires 4 Slime Spark (Homeward Journey).png Slime Spark that circle around and follow the player.
