Abyss (Homeward Journey)

The Abyss biome, as viewed on the map in a large world.

The Abyss is an aquatic Biome that spawns upon world creation. It is located directly underneath the Ocean on the left side of the world. Comprising it is a series of caves almost entirely filled with water.

It is filled with several enemies and the Portal to Another World spawns there as well, spawning the Diver when killed.

It is composed primarily of Abyss Stone. Deep Ore and Onyx can be found throughout the Abyss. Houses spawn throughout the abyss that contain Chests with loot in them.

The Seal is also located at the bottom of the Abyss, where the Wall of Shadow can be spawned.

• Player-created Sunken Sea biomes are possible by placing 100 Abyss Stone in an area.
• The Seal can only be accessed with the Rod of Discord or the Eureka Effect.
• The Seal will spawn lower down if Calamity is installed.
