The Power of Darkness is a Hardmode accessory that provides various darkness-related effects. It is crafted from the two accessories dropped by Rumia: the Cloak of Darkness and the Sealing Talisman.

It provides the following benefits at all times:

• Immunity to Darkness, Blackout and Shadowflame
• Improved night vision

During the night, solar eclipses or when the wearer is in a sufficiently dark location, it provides the following additional benefits:

• Maximum mana increased by 40
• Increased mana regeneration rate
• Magical attacks are imbued with Shadowflame

Finally, the Power of Darkness allows the player to teleport to any nearby dark location. When the cursor is hovering over a position that is both dark enough, and sufficiently large to accommodate the player, red sparkles will appear around the cursor. The teleport can then be triggered by double-tappint the UP key. Afterwards, there is a cooldown of 15 seconds before the teleport may be used again; when the cooldown reaches zero, this is signaled by red dusts appearing around the halo, accompanied by a sound.
