The Kappa Pathfinder is a Hardmode enemy which may spawn in any body of water within Crimson biome (including the Underground Crimson). She will approach the player while periodically shooting sticky bombs at the player. These projectiles will stick to any tile, Town NPC or player they hit. If the targeted player comes too close to any of the sticky bombs, the Kappa Pathfinder will simultaneously detonate all sticky bombs she had previously fired. In addition, the sticky bombs will detonate upon her death. The explosion inflicts the Ichor debuff, lowering the target's defense.

Kappa Pathfinders drop between three and six Point Items and up to two pieces of Broken Kappa Technology, a material used to craft Kappa weapons and the Experimental Transmitter, which is used to summon Nitori Kawashiro. They may also occasionally drop a small amount of Hydro Charge ammunition.

The Kappa Pathfinder counts as a Kappa enemy, thus, killing enough of them (30) will summon Nitori Kawashiro.
