Centaurium Ore is a Hardmode ore that appears naturally in the lowest layers of the Underground Desert. It requires a Picksaw or a Laser Drill to be mined, although alternatively it can also be dropped by certain Centaurium-themed enemies and the Moon Lord, meaning that a player can still get Centaurium in a world where it has not generated naturally. Centaurium Ore only becomes usable (for crafting) once the Lunatic Cultist is defeated and the Ancient Manipulator becomes available, with it being used to create Centaurium Cubes, the main material in Lunar-tier Engineer equipment.
