Tizona is a Hardmode sword. Swinging it creates a glowing trail, similar to that of the Night's Edge and Excalibur weapons, as well as shoots a smaller aura forward that gradually accelerates. The sword itself, its aura, and its projectile all inflict the Shadowflame debuff on hit.
Crafting
Depending on the Configuration options, Tizona may be added to the crafting recipe for the Zenith.

Trivia
- Tizona is one of the swords carried by the medieval knight Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, also known as El Cid. According to the epic poem Cantar de mio Cid, Tizona was used to fight the Moors in Spain.
- The Spanish name Tizona translates to either "burning stick" or "firebrand".
- In the original Console version, Tizona was crafted with an Excalibur, 15 Souls of Blight, and 15 bars of either Adamantite or Titanium. In Consolaria, it is dropped directly by Ocram.
- Before the update to Terraria v1.4.4, the Consolaria version of Tizona shot a projectile called "Dread Skull" that also inflicted the Shadowflame debuff.
- In the original console version, Tizona inflicted the Bleeding debuff, making it the only player weapon capable of inflicting it.
