Titan armor is a Hardmode melee armor set consisting of the Titan Helmet, the Titan Mail and the Titan Leggings, which serves as a post-Ocram upgrade to the Hallowed armor, made with the addition of Adamantite or Titanium Bars, Souls of Sight, and Souls of Blight.
There exists also an Ancient Titan armor set. The items are functionally identical and they can be mixed and matched without losing the set bonus; the differences are mostly cosmetic as well as in which crafting station is used to create them. The Shimmer can transmute a piece back and forth between its regular and "ancient" version.
A full set of Titan armor provides the following benefits:
- +45 defense
- +35% ranged damage
- +20% magic critical strike chance
- +60% chance not to consume ammo
- +18% movement speed
- Using ranged weapons triggers a recoil blast
Additionally, if the full set is visible the player will have a pulsating outline, similar to Forbidden armor.
Recoil blast
The set bonus effect is referred to as "titanPower" or "titanBlast*" in the code. The way it works is that when the player shoots a ranged weapon, the armor shoots an invisible Titan Blast projectile that inflicts double damage and displays an explosion on impact.
The exact formula of the damage inflicted by the recoil blast is double weapon damage up to a maximum of 500. If the weapon damage is greater than 250, so that double damage is greater than 500, then the damage above 500 is halved. For example, a weapon damage of 300 would result in a recoil blast damage of 550.
The recoil blast has a five seconds (300 frames) cooldown. A half-second (30 frames) before the cooldown expires, a reload sound is heard.

Notes
- Wearing Titan Leggings will cause the player to emit a pulsating aura, even if the rest of the set is not worn.
Tips
- Titan armor pairs well with the Vulcan Repeater and Megashark due to its reduced ammo-consumption set bonus which grants an extra 28% chance not to consume ammo.
Trivia
- In the original game, Titan armor had the same sprite as the Ancient Titan armor and did not have special stats. It was also crafted with the respective pieces of Cobalt, Mythril, Adamantite and Hallowed armor, 30 Souls of Sight and 50 Souls of Blight.
- The popular mod Thorium also features a Titan armor, but it is unrelated to the original console version of this armor.
- The Titan armor is the second best armor set in the game in terms of ammo conservation, only beaten by the Vortex armor.
- In Greek mythology, Titans are the second generation of divine beings, and the ancestors of the Olympian gods.
