The Nightfall is a Hardmode melee weapon that drops from the Living Shadow. Unlike most spears, it wobbles when swung, similarly to the Ghastly Glaive. Upon striking an enemy, a dark solar explosion damages that enemy and any nearby enemies. It also gains damage as the velocity of the spear increases.

Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic, which both increase the average damage output equally. It cannot receive any speed-affecting modifiers.
