The Living Star Staff is a craftable pre-Hardmode summon weapon. When used, it summons a living star minion. This living star can pass through tiles and attempts to stay above its target. When it's within a specific angle of a target, it starts dropping stars on them, which can also pass through tiles.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Living Star Staff has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
