Meldosaurus is a Hardmode boss. Meldosaurus can be fought during or after the Lunar Events. It's appearance is that of a dinosaur made out of meld blobs.

Like most bosses, the Meldosaurus does not spawn on it's own and can only be summoned when attacking the Jungle Tyrant with the Dead Sun's Wind.

While Meldosaurus is alive, the music "Meldosaurus" will play.

Spawn

Meldosaurus can be spawned during April Fools day anywhere in the world by attacking the Jungle Tyrant with the Dead Sun's Wind.

Notes

• The Meldosaurus can only be summoned on April Fools day, although can be summoned any time when Calamity's Vanities+ is used.
• If the Stratus Apolcalypse event has been completed and the Stratus Astronaut is equipped, the pet will help attack the Meldosaurus.

Trivia

• The Bestiary entry for the Meldosaurus: "Evolution corrupted by the remains of the dark gods. It seeks acceptance from the other celestial creatures to no success."

• The Meldosaurus was based off of several repeated suggestions by Slayerx65 to add in the Meldosaurus, totaling in at 3 separate suggestions on the Calamity's Vanities discord server.
  • The first suggestion was a Meldosaurus pet.
  • The second suggestion was a Meldosaurus vanity set.
  • The third suggestion was a Meldosaurus mount.
    • All of these suggestions where rejected.
• In the source files, there is a set of three unused worm segments called "MeldWyrm"
• In the source files, there is a drawing of a pipis from Deltarune Chapter 2, called "GodsFire."
