The Drakescale Shield is a craftable Pre-Hardmode accessory, it grants 4 defense and additionally increases defense by 2 and damage reduction by 4% if the player is in the Snow biome. Getting hit will drop 4 sharp Frost Scales onto the ground that do damage equal to half the taken damage.
