The Herbology Bench is an interface tile that allows herb and potion exchange as well as acting as a Placed Bottle for crafting.
Exchanging Herbs
In-depth explanation
- At Novice tier, you can exchange Herb credits for any herb seed.
- At Apprentice tier, you can click the button to the right of the text "Herb Exchange" to swap to Large Herb Seed exchange. In this view, you can exchange 15 Herb credits for 1 Large Herb Seed of any type.
- At Expert tier, you can exchange 10 Potion credits for any Elixir, and 1 Potion credit for any potion, as well as any restoration potion (Healing Potion / Mana Potion / Stamina Potion. Elixirs have double the duration of their normal potion equivalent, and, where applicable, double the potency or effect.
- At all tiers, you can input any herb, large herb, large herb seed, potion, or elixir.
- Each tier has its effect as well as the effect of any previous tiers.

The Herbology Bench is an interface tile in Avalon. It allows multiple exchanges to be done using herbs and potions. The bench has 4 mastery tiers.
The Herbology Bench can also be used to craft seeds, as well as being able to craft any item crafted at a Placed Bottle.

- At Herbology Novice tier, you can exchange Herb credits for any herb.

Trivia
- Originally the Herbology Bench was intended to be a Town NPC, but it was adapted into an interface tile.
- Originally the 4th tier of Herbology (Herbology Mastery) was going to allow the player to obtain Combination Potions (up to 4 potions were planned to be combinable). However, this was scrapped because these potions would require far too many extra items.
History
- 11.6:
- Menu can now be closed by right clicking the tile.
- "Consume Herb/Potion" button now gets scaled up when hovering the cursor over it.
- "Consume Herb/Potion" now has a custom sound when clicked.
- 11.5.3.2:
- Fixed a bug that caused Large Bloodberry Seeds to not be obtainable in multiplayer through the Herbology Bench.
- Items generated by the Herbology Bench in multiplayer should no longer be able to be stolen by others.
- Can now only exchange potion credits for a Blah Potion if the world is in Superhardmode.
- Now has a tooltip: "Used for herb-related exchange".
